Nicholas O’Dwyer Ltd are delighted to announce some success at the recent Irish HR Champions Awards, held in the Marker Hotel, Dublin on 19th April.

Head of People and Culture Bláthnaid Carolan, collected the award for “Talent Acquisition programme” on behalf of the Nicholas O’Dwyer HR and Talent Acquisition team, an award that recognises the huge efforts that Talent Acquisition Manager Michael Lynn, and our Talent Acquisition executives Philippa McDonogh and Shriya Vaidya, put in every day.

Presenter for the evening, Ola Majekodunmi, commented when presenting the Award:
“Not only did the Talent Acquisition Team in Nicholas O’Dwyer smash their recruitment target of 80 by successfully recruiting 130 new staff members in the past 12 months, they also had to rethink traditional recruitment methods. With offices in locations as remote as Dili in Timor Leste, the team learned the local employment laws, culture and even languages to source local talent. It wasn’t a straight path to success, there were lessons learned and applied via staff surveys. The team managed to accomplish this whilst achieving their D&I and sustainability targets, maintaining integrity and becoming employer of choice.”

The Irish HR Champion Awards celebrate the hard work and dedication of HR teams – operating at the front line, delivering ambitious programmes, impacting business performance and transforming employee experience. The Awards recognise the success, innovation and business focus of HR delivering the best strategies across: Employee Engagement – Talent Acquisition – Corporate Social Responsibility – Employer Branding – Change Management – Wellness Strategy – Learning and Development – Diversity – Leadership.
